May you please supply me with the following information.

The number of sickle cell patients admitted to Trust hospitals per year, between the years 2008 and 2018
 
Answer To Question 1:
The following number of Sickle Cell patients were admitted to the Trust during the given time period:

2008 = 8
2009 = 12
2010 = 11
2011 = 18
2012 = 28
2013 = 23
2014 = 16
2015 = 19
2016 = 25
2017 = 15
2018 = 17
Total = 192
 
Question Number 2:
Of these patients, how many were admitted via A&E and how many admitted via planned care settings (such as hospital outpatient or clinic appointments and day unit hospital admission)
 
Answer To Question 2:
The following number of Sickle Cell patients were admitted to the Trust via A&E and planned care settings.

A&E = Admission Method code of 21 = 64 admissions
Planned Care Settings = Elective Admission codes of 11, 12 and 13 = 50 admissions

The number of Thalassaemia patients admitted to Trust hospitals per year, between the years 2008 and 2018
 
Answer To Question 3:
The following number of Thalassaemia patients were admitted to the Trust during the given time period:

2008 = 12
2009 = 13
2010 = 15
2011 = 33
2012 = 24
2013 = 18
2014 = 14
2015 = 31
2016 = 16
2017 = 13
2018 = 33
Total = 222
 
Question Number 4:
Of these patients, how many were admitted via A&E and how many admitted via planned care settings (such as hospital outpatient or clinic appointments and day unit hospital admission)

The following number of Thalassaemia patients were admitted to the Trust via A&E and planned care settings.

A&E = Admission Method code of 21 = 25 admissions
Planned Care Settings = Elective Admission codes of 11, 12 and 13 = 126 admissions

The number of complaints received by the Trust, per year between 2008-2018 regarding the care and treatment of sickle cell patients

We have had no complaints (n = 0) between 2008 and 2018 regarding the care and treatment of sickle cell patients

The number of complaints received by the Trust, per year between 2008-2018, regarding the care and treatment of Thalassaemia patients

We have had no complaints (n = 0) for the years 2008-2018 regarding the care and treatment of patients with thalassaemia

Has the trust implemented any changes to care of Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell patients in response to any complaints throughout the 10 year period
 
Answer To Question 7:
We have not implemented any changes to the care of patients with thalassaemia and sickle cell in response to a complaint over the 10 years as we have not had any complaints
