Request Summary: Infant formula milk provided at the Trust (brand, volume, cost etc.)
Request Category: Media
Question Number 1:
Please provide details of the brand(s) of infant formula milk provided in maternity units and the form in which it is provided (e.g. powdered, ready made bottles, ready made bottles with teets etc.)
Answer To Question 1:
We are using Cow and Gate and SMA first stage milks in the form of premade bottles.
We don’t make up feeds unless parents bring their own milk and bottles in to do this. We don’t keep powder.
Question Number 2:
Details of your infant formula milk provider, the amount paid and volume received in the last available financial year, and details of whether the infant formula milk is purchased from them at full price, a reduced rate (including details of the reduction if applicable) or received free of charge.
Answer To Question 2:
The product is purchased from Bunzle.
In 2017/18 we ordered 750 cases of 24.
We are unable to provide costs as this is commercially sensitive information and so the Trust applies an exemption under Section 43 under the Freedom of Information Act (please see attached Refusal Notice).
