Question Number 1:
Does the NHS Trust have prostate cancer referral guidelines? If yes, please provide a copy.
 
Answer To Question 1:
Yes, the Trust have guidelines for prostate cancer referrals which follow NHS NICE guidance, you can find it here https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng131
 
Question Number 2:
According to the NHS Trust guidelines, at what PSA level should GPs refer patients for suspected prostate cancer?
Does this differ depending on any factor, such as age?
 
Answer To Question 2:
The age-specific cut-off PSA measurements recommended by the Prostate Cancer Risk Management Programme are as follows: aged 50-59 years = 3.0 ng/ml; aged 60-69 years = 4.0 ng/ml; aged 70 years and older = 5.0 ng/ml. (Note that there are no age-specific reference ranges for men aged over 80 years)

Currently being reviewed as part of a work stream led by our Cancer Alliance which is reviewing guidelines so that all Trusts follow the same guidance
