Question Number 1:
1. For each financial year in the period 2014-15 to 2018-19, please provide figures for:

a. the number of adults (aged 18 and over) attending your A&E department for mental health related issues.
 
Answer To Question 1:
The following number of adults attended A&E for mental health related issues in the given time period:

2014-15 = 543
2015-16 = 598
2016-17 = 484
2017-18 = 337
2018-19 = 593
 
Question Number 2:
Please breakdown the above figure according to:
i.) How many were treated/seen by a doctor within 4 hours;
ii.) How many waited longer than 4 hours to be treated.
 
Answer To Question 2:
i.) Of those patients from Q1, the following numbers were treated within 4 hours:

2014-15 = 491
2015-16 = 546
2016-17 = 412
2017-18 = 292
2018-19 = 464

ii.) Of those patients from Q1, the following numbers were not treated within 4 hours:

2014-15 = 52
2015-16 = 52
2016-17 = 72
2017-18 = 45
2018-19 = 129
 
Question Number 3:
b. For the people in (a.ii.), please provide a breakdown for how long those people were waiting by hour e.g. five hours, six hours etc.
 
Answer To Question 3:
For those patients Q2 ii.) the following shows a breakdown in waiting time by hours:

4-5 hours = 103
5-6 hours = 88
6-7 hours = 57
7-8 hours = 41
8-9 hours = 18
9-10 hours = 9
10-11 hours = 12
11-12 hours = 9
> 12 hours = 13
 
Question Number 4:
Please detail the longest period of time an adult attending your A&E department for mental health related issues waited to be treated/seen by a doctor in
a. Each individual financial year from 2014-15 to 2018-19 inclusive;
b. 2019-2020 to date.
 
Answer To Question 4:
Of those patients from Q1, the following shows the longest wait in the given time period:

2014-15 = 12.8 hours
2015-16 = 21.8 hours
2016-17 = 14.0 hours
2017-18 = 12.4 hours
2018-19 = 15.7 hours
2019 YTD = 17.4 hours
