Request Summary: Streaming of patients in ED

Question Number 1:
Does Salisbury ED stream patients so that they receive the appropriate care, eg. Primary care, Emergency care etc.
 
Answer To Question 1:
SFT ED has a range of streaming options available for the streaming/triage nurse to access. These include:
• Streamed to Minors/Majors/Resus/Paediatric streams in ED
• Discharge for self-care
• Referral back to GP and at times arranging a GP appointment if in hours
• The Walk In Centre when it is open: Monday-Friday 18:00-22:00 and 08:00 to 20:00 at weekends
• SDEC pathways across Gynae, Paeds, Medicine and Surgery (inc ENT and Max Fax)
• Prior to COVID one further streaming option was to the OOH GP service co-located by ED

If yes what percentage of the patients are streamed within 15 minutes of arrival. For the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021.
