Changes to Face Mask Requirements at Salisbury District Hospital

As we move forward embracing living with COVID, and the reduction in local prevalence of COVID-19, Salisbury District Hospital have now reduced face mask restrictions for our inpatients, outpatients and visitors.

Drop off only at Salisbury District Hospital Accident and Emergency

01 June 2022

Vehicle access to Salisbury District Hospital’s Accident and Emergency (A & E) Department has changed to ‘drop off’ only. This change has been made to improve access for Ambulances and applies to the approach ramp as well as the area immediately outside A & E. Previously, it had been possible to park on the ramp but this is no longer allowed.

Salisbury District Hospital is now fully open for visiting

Salisbury District Hospital is now fully open for visiting. However, face masks must be worn at the hospital and hand hygiene guidelines must be followed. Please see individual wards/departments for specific visiting times and further details.

Statement on the charging of Mr Mansoor Khan

29 April 2022

Salisbury Foundation Trust can confirm that Mr Khan has worked at the Trust as a Plastic Surgeon since 2009. He has been suspended from work since August 2021. The Trust has been reassured by the National Crime Agency investigation team that none of the charges relate to Mr Khan's clinical work at Salisbury District Hospital.
