Salisbury Hospital partially lifts visitor restrictions

Salisbury Hospital will partially lift restrictions on visiting from 00.01 on Monday 31st January. Patients will be able to have one person visiting for one hour. Visitors must call ahead to book a time and show proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test on arrival. The hospital is a healthcare setting and to protect patients, staff and visitors, face masks must be worn at all times. While on site visitors must also adhere to social distancing and hand hygiene.

For those visiting End of Life, Maternity or Children visitors are asked to please discuss arrangements with the ward team.

Judy Dyos, Chief Nursing Officer, said: “With infection rates lowering in the community, I’m pleased we are now in a position to be able to ease some of the visitor restrictions we have in place. I understand how difficult it has been for people not to be able to see their loved ones and I would like to thank everyone for their support and patience. Please continue to follow the rules in place to protect our patients and staff”.
