Every woman having treatment for breast cancer, and for whom reconstruction is an option, should have the opportunity to discuss reconstruction with a plastic surgeon even if it means going to another hospital to have it. Please talk discuss with your breast surgeon, genetics counsellor or GP if you would like to consider immediate or delayed breast reconstructive surgery.

Please be aware that some plastic surgery procedures require prior funding approval from the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which is applied for by the referring GP.
