Getting to us

How to Find Us

The Wessex Rehabilitation Centre is situated at the South of the Hospital Site.  If you are coming via Taxi please come in Entrance B and we are situated on your right immediately after the first pelican crossing.  There are dedicated bays allowing your driver to drop you off outside our door.

If you come by bus from Salisbury City Centre, the Wilts & Dorset city service "Red 1" runs regularly from the city centre to the hospital. The bus leaves from Stop O in Blue Boar Row on the north side of the market square. The journey takes around 10 minutes. Buses run in an anti-clockwise direction around the hospital site stopping in the following places:

  • The Green (for Wessex Rehab and other Central and South parts of the hospital)
  • Springs Entrance (for Level 2 of the main hospital)
  • Main Entrance (for Levels 3 and 4 of the main hospital)

If you are coming from Shaftesbury the no. 29 bus stops at the hospital, and if you are coming from the Woodfalls/Downton area the number 44 bus stops at the hospital.

Where Can I park?

The Wessex Rehabilitation Centre is situated at the South of the Hospital Site.  Drive in through Entrance B (second entrance when coming from Salisbury) and stay on the road.  The entrance to Wessex Rehabilitation is on your right immediately after the first pelican crossing.  There is space outside the centre where you can be dropped off if you find it difficult to walk distances.

Continue past Wessex Rehabilitation and there is car parking straight in front of you (car park 10), if this is full follow the road around to your left and the main patient carpark is on your right (car park 8).  The main entrance to this car park is at the bottom of the hill, but once you have accessed the car park you can drive to the top of the car park thus reducing the distance back to the Wessex Rehabilitation Centre
