TB2 3/2/5.1 Corporate Priorities, Board Assurance Framework and Corporate Risk Register

FMc presented the report, providing a summary of the corporate priorities 2021/22 Q3 review, the Board Assurance Framework and Corporate Risk Register. FMc highlighted the key points:

• The report has been to all Board Committees and they welcomed the alignment of the corporate priorities to the strategic Board Assurance Framework.
• There have been a number of discussions relating to the impact of staffing on gaps in control and how this relates to delivery of the strategic priorities and how this is then reflected in the BAF. There are a number of risks that need to be considered going forward, e.g. capital programme and delivery of NATSIPPs and LocSiPPs. FMc will work with the executives to work up these additional risks.

Discussion:
PM noted that it was important to align limited Board Development time with corporate objectives and strategic priorities.

EJ supported that we have had robust discussions at the Committees and the BAF and CRR is evolving due to these assurance discussions which reflects that this is a live document.
