Question Number 1: In August 2020, NHS England said each NHS trust would need to publish an action plan demonstrating how, over the next five years, its board and senior staffing would at least match the overall BAME composition of its overall workforce or local community. This was to be in percentage terms, and whichever was the higher – either total workforce or community. 1. Have you published an action plan yet, as per NHS England’s instruction in August 2020? | |
Answer To Question 1: We have continually reported our progress on the WRES and WDES actions in annual reports, all of these are on our webpage and track progress. This year we are in the process of preparing the reports. Also we are developing an EDI Strategy in line with our People Plan/Promise commitments which will identify how we will complete our actions within 5 years.
