Question Number 1: What was the longest a patient at one of the GP practices that fall under your Integrated Care Board waited for: (in weeks/days) In each of the following calendar years – 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 (if available so far)? First appointment at the menopause clinics or services within your organization or department. | |
Answer To Question 1: Clinic Year Longest Wait from Referral to Seen Menopause September 2018 to December 2018 29 Weeks 4 Days Menopause 2019 186 Weeks 5 Days Menopause 2020 87 Weeks 3 Days Menopause 2021 27 Weeks 2 Days Menopause 2022 46 Weeks 2 Days Menopause 2023 64 Weeks 4 Days Please note, that these figures note the longest patient waiting, as requested by the FOI, rather than an average wait, therefore the outlying longest wait could be a singular patient, or a group of patients. Again, without further investigating this information (which would take over 18 hours) we would not be able to provide any further information. | |
Question Number 2: First treatment for menopause symptoms (if needed). | |
Answer To Question 2: The Trust would not be able to provide the level of detail that the request is asking, to understand how long it took for a patient to be treated for a menopause symptoms (Q2) would require a Clinician looking into every patient and due to the number of referrals we receive this would take over and above 18 hours. Likewise, in order to get the level of detail for Q3 and Q4, there would need to be a Clinical review of all referrals, so would not be feasible to complete this in a sensible timeframe for the FOI.
