Details of the Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) services offered, including but not limited to:

Answer To Question 1:
Surgery for previous injury of mixed peripheral nerve associated with pain and partial loss of function, to assist with intraoperative decision making re. reconstruction of that nerve where lesion is of mixed depth.
 
Question Number 2:
Information about the referral process for patients requiring Intraoperative Monitoring Services, including how patients are assessed and referred for IOM.
 
Answer To Question 2:
Patients are most frequently referred by hospital consultants within Salisbury or from other hospitals within the region.
 
Question Number 3:
Statistics or data on the utilisation of Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Services for the past two calendar years, broken down by year. This should include the total number of procedures involving IONM, as well as a breakdown of the types of surgeries or procedures.
 
Answer To Question 3:
One or two procedures undertaken each year that warrant intraoperative neurophysiological examination. Unable to confirm exact numbers.

Does the Trust currently engage with external agencies for the provision of intraoperative monitoring services? If yes, please provide details.
 
Answer To Question 4:
Intraoperative neurophysiological examination is undertaken by Consultant Neurophysiologist who is based at the Wessex Neurological Centre, Southampton but provides the service for Salisbury.
