Request Summary: Request data on endoscopes and insourced procedures
Request Category: Private Individuals
Question Number 1: How many endoscopy procedures were performed in each month in 2023?
Answer To Question 1: January 612 (855 points) February 547 (848 points) March 711 (1062 points) April 517 (795 points) May 650 (991 points) June 587 (862 points) July 613 (920 points) August 627 (918 points) NB: Endoscopy is measured in points. Each point is half an hour of time. Therefore a straightforward gastroscopy would be 1 point but a complex gastroscopy could be 3 points. The number of procedures hides the fact that 2 complex lower endoscopy could fill a whole list of 10 points but would only reflect as 2 procedures.
Question Number 2: Of those, how many were performed by commissioning independent providers to provide insourcing services?
Answer To Question 2: January 399 points February 337 points March 481.5 points April 412.5 points May 288.5 points June 375.5 points July 468.5 points August 277 points
