Request Summary: Speech and Language Therapy Waiting Lists

Request Category: Political Parties

Question Number 1:
The total number of children on a waiting list for speech and language therapy as of 1st December 2023, and on the 1st December for each year, since 2010.

Answer To Question 1:
These answers were provided by our Speech and Language department.

For children (questions 1 & 3)
We cannot respond to questions 1 & 3, as our children’s Speech and Language Therapy service provided from SFT is part of a managed pathway for Cleft Lip & Palate.
• Therefore this request does not apply, as children are known to SaLT when the cleft is identified (before or after birth) and they regularly see SaLT in MDT clinics and in SaLT clinics, so waiting list information does not apply.
• The requester could contact the HCRG Care Group (previously Virgin Care) who provide children’s Speech & Language Therapy in Wiltshire.

Question Number 2:
The total number of adults on a waiting list for speech and language therapy as of 1st December 2023, and on the 1st December for each year, since 2010.

Answer To Question 2:
For Adults: We cannot reply to question 2 as we do not collect/collate data in this way.

Question Number 3:
The single longest number of days that an individual child spent on a waiting list for speech and language therapy, broken down by financial year, since 2010.

Answer To Question 3:
See response to Q1

Question Number 4:
The single longest number of days that an individual adult spent on a waiting list for speech and language therapy, broken down by financial year, since 2010.

Answer To Question 4:
