Answer To Question 6: Salisbury hospital is an acute NHS Trust and as such treats physical as opposed to mental health issues. While some of our patients may have a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, this is not the condition for which they are admitted to the hospital. Only two patients have been admitted to hospital with this diagnosis in 2023 and in each case they were treated for physical injuries rather than the BPD condition. The question would be more appropriately directed at the local mental health trust: Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership.
Question Number 7: Does the trust provide dialectical behaviour therapy? If so, please provide the numbers of patients/service users who have used this service. If not, is there a plan to implement this treatment?
