Question Number 1: Further query from FOI 8127 As you have confirmed, equality training was done during that time and a person's equality rights still went according to the law during that time. a .please confirm if , during covid19 between 2021-late 2022. were staff still obligated to abide by the equality rights of a disabled person, whether in/out patient/visitor. or if the hospitals covid19 policy over rode the equality act. b. if staff had been given the instruction that their covid19 policy had over ridden the equality act, please provide me that policy and the direct part that states it | |
Answer To Question 1: a) During the pandemic staff were still required to follow the Equality Act and whilst we had Covid-19 policies that drove management throughout the pandemic they did not override acting within legislation. b) N/A | |
