Request Summary: Request on Armed Forces Champion and Special Leave Policy for Armed Reservists

Request Category: Health

Question Number 1:
Does the Trust have an Armed Forces Champion/Lead and a dedicated point of contact that focuses on Special Leave Policy for Armed Forces Reservists working in your organisation.

If so, I would be grateful if you could provide me with their contact details or any relevant information about the support or services you provide for Reservists

Answer To Question 1:
The Trust has an Armed Forces Advocate, this post was established in March 2023 at which point Neil Lewis was appointed into this voluntary role - sft.armedforcesnetwork@nhs.net

A function within the role of Armed Forces Advocate is to work alongside our OD&P department to ensure our organisational policies support our Armed Forces Community, with Special Leave for Reservists meeting this criteria. The dedicated point of contact is the Head of Employee Relations and Policy , for the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust Armed Forces Community Employment Support Policy. - sft.peopleops@nhs.net
