Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for wind on Friday 24th January, from 00.00 hours to 23:59, as Storm Éowyn sweeps across the area. Very strong winds and some disruption is expected, as there will be peak gusts of 50-60 mph inland, 60-70 mph around some coasts and hills. There could be some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, power cuts and disrupted rail, air and ferry services, with some roads and bridges closing.
