Anal Cancer Symptoms and Diagnosis

Anal cancer symptoms may include:

  • bleeding or mucus from your bottom
  • itching around your anus
  • small lumps within your anus or around the entrance
  • bowel incontinence
  • changes to your usual bowel habits (eg needing to poo more often, softer stools).

For full details on the symptoms, visit: Symptoms of anal cancer | Cancer Research UK

The symptoms of anal cancer, can be similar to other conditions (such as haemorrhoids and open sores near the anus) however if you have any of the above symptoms, it is very important to speak to your GP to rule out cancer.
