About the ward (Sarum Ward tel: 01722 336262 ext 2560/2561)
Sarum Ward is the children's ward within Salisbury District Hospital. We have 16 beds and care for children between the ages of 0 and 16 years. Thanks to support from the Stars Appeal and other fundraisers, we benefit from having an incredible facility for the children we care for. Our children’s unit, which incorporates inpatient, assessment and outpatient services opened in its current location in 2011.
We care for children with a variety of conditions including those who need operations, children who are acutely unwell, and children who return to us for treatment related to longer term conditions. Together with the Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, we also form part of the Spires Cleft Service for children who have been born with a cleft lip or palate.
