Description

The Informatics Department is responsible for the Trust’s IT services, information governance, information services, medical records and coding. The IT Department aims to provide users with a service which is available 24 hours a day.

The Informatics Department main reception is located in the Douglas Arter Centre.

The informatics department is responsible for the Trust’s IT services, information governance, information services, medical records and coding. The following teams form part of our current Informatics provision:

Service desk
IT operations – device, service and network management
Testing and training and validation
Application support
Application and interface development (including clinical and corporate applications support, in house developments and the web services)
Medical records (including subject access requests)
Clinical coding
Business intelligence and reporting
Data quality
Information Governance (including FOI) and cyber security
Business change and projects

Informatics provide 24/7 support to the Trust, with a dedicated out of hours service for core IT and access issues.
