Community Midwives

The Community Midwifery Teams (CMT) provide a range of care to ensure the well-being of the mother and baby such as physical and emotional checks, screening and infant feeding support.

Your main point of contact during your pregnancy will be your Community Midwife. The CMT is usually the same for both your care during pregnancy (antenatal care) and care after birth (postnatal care). The majority of your appointments will be based at the relevant hub. For details of where the Community Midwife hubs are located, please see Community Midwife Care

Our staff at Salisbury District Hospital have long been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment they provide for our patients and for their innovation, commitment and professionalism. This has been recognised in a wide range of achievements and it is reflected in our award of NHS Foundation Trust status. This is afforded to hospitals that provide the highest standards of care.
