If you have an existing health condition and plan on becoming pregnant, it is advisable that you speak to your GP and/or specialist team at least 3 months before you stop contraception, as some health conditions need careful management to minimise the risk to you and your baby. It is extremely important that you do not stop taking medicine for your existing condition before speaking to a GP.
