Whenever possible we provide a one-stop service using the multidisciplinary team to deliver rapid diagnosis and treatment and reduce the number of hospital visits. To deliver this service we work flexibly within our team with some overlap in skills.
The weekly MDT (multi disciplinary team) meeting is pivotal to the service and allows cases to be discussed with our radiology, diabetic and stroke colleagues to ensure a multidisciplinary approach is achieved.
Our staff at Salisbury District Hospital have long been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment they provide for our patients and for their innovation, commitment and professionalism. This has been recognised in a wide range of achievements and it is reflected in our award of NHS Foundation Trust status. This is afforded to hospitals that provide the highest standards of care.
